YOGA OFFERINGS

The scope of Yoga is a big and vast experience. To best support my clients I draw from any and all of these practices, for their individual needs.

Your body is unique- and so is your Yoga journey.

  • VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa Yoga, also known as "flow" yoga, is a dynamic and invigorating practice that focuses on synchronizing movement with breath.

The breath acts as an anchor, cultivating a sense of mindfulness and allowing the practitioner to dive deeper into each pose. As the breath flows rhythmically, the body moves gracefully, flowing from one pose to another. This seamless union of breath, movement, and mindfulness creates a moving meditation that cultivates both physical strength and inner awareness. There are many types of Vinyasa classes these days, typically named ‘Classic’, ‘Slow Flow’ or ‘Soft Flow’.

  • YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga, known for its gentle nature, is an ancient practice that targets the connective tissues, promoting deep relaxation and restoring balance to the body and mind. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin Yoga involves holding poses for an extended period, typically three to five minutes, while relaxing the muscles as much as possible.

The philosophy behind Yin Yoga revolves around embracing stillness, quieting the mind, and surrendering into the present moment, the now. Yin Yoga is a practice suitable for most practitioners, regardless of age or fitness level. Its gentle nature makes it an excellent choice for those recovering from injury or experiencing chronic pain. Moreover, it complements more dynamic forms of yoga and other physical activities, serving as a balancing force in our, often fast-paced and yang-dominated, lives.

  • HATHA YOGA

The name “Hatha Yoga” covers most yoga practiced in the west today. In a Yoga studio setting Hatha Yoga serves as a holistic practice that aims to align and harmonize the body and mind. Through physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation, practitioners cultivate physical strength and mental clarity. Embracing the principles of balance and unity, Hatha yoga offers a transformative journey towards overall well-being and self-realization.

The beauty of Hatha yoga lies in its adaptability to suit individual needs and abilities. Whether you’re new to Yoga, working with limitations or injury, seeking stress relief or simply seek physical fitness, the Hatha Yoga practice has lots to offer.

“Maria is one of the most grounded, thoughtful, multi-talented yoga teachers I’ve ever come across. She listens to your body and your preferences, she challenges you without pushing you, she expands your mind by leading, not teaching. I am deeply impressed by Maria and how she holds herself and supports her clients. Anyone who gets the privilege of working with her will find that their focus is sharper and their body and mind more in tune. Thank you Maria- I would never have rediscovered Yoga without you”— Ines
